My eating habits

For sure I can say I do not have a specific diet which characterizes me, nonetheless, there might be something that makes me quite different, which is that time to time I have food based on veggies.

Generally speaking, for breakfast, bread is always there accompanied with fried eggs, jelly and hardly ever with avocado and since this year, we are having mixed juice, which is really tasty and of course it is healthy as well.

For lunch, it varies sometimes, but rice has to be for sure, otherwise I do not completely full, then, I add veggies to my dish such as tomatoes, lettuce, carrots and so on,  sometimes, I have Russian salad with mayonaisse, it is one of my favorite one. But, there are days which I get chifa food and I usually have Samsi for lunch,

For diner, I try to vary what I've eaten for breakfast, so I prepare fried rice with chunk eggs and lemon's juice, but there are always days where I only get  a royal burger or pizza, in overall, there's no a specific diet, therefore, I can say I'm an average eater. 

My favorite restaurant

 SOMBRERO DE PAJA

I am not used to eating out really much, nonetheless, after looking for the best option in terms of food and a chill environment, I found Sombrero de Paja an outstanding place where I can enjoy all what they can offer me.

This restaurant is located in San Juan Bautista district. It is at Km. 4.5 Quiñonez Avenue, it is not far from the Red Square of San Juan, therefore, people living in this district might know about this known restaurant, it is a fantastic option not only for eating, but also for having fun either with friends and family. It is in the corner of the block, its neighbor is a school named “Fe y Alegría”, likewise, it is near another school called “Cristo Redentor”, in front of the restaurant, there is a big known ice-cream factory of Yamboly.

This is not as big as other restaurants, but you can eat there enjoying the comfortable space, that is something I appreciate a lot. The average hour that they open the restaurant is 9 o’clock in the morning and it closes at 5 o’clock in the afternoon.

The food is unique as it takes into account the Amazonian cuisine and other Peruvian dishes. I prefer to go there as I'm keen on eating a mix of dishes from different parts of the country, so, if you haven't tasted the exquisite food, I assure you that you won't splash out, due to the variety of prices according what you  want.

When I have the chance to have a leisurely lunch in that restaurant, I prefer to eat a dish made of chicken and noodles, due to it is my favorite main course.

The appetizers are extremely tasty, because there are many dishes that you can choose, I mean, the variety of appetizers makes this restaurant very engaging, for example, they offer tacacho, fried bananas and other appetizers, these can be an excellent extra food which can be eaten with the main course. From my personal perspective, I rather eat tacacho and stuffed pastry.

Regarding drinks, this restaurant offers the most recognised soft drinks like Inka Kola, Coca Cola and other Peruvian ones, but also, there are options like beer and cocktail, which are mostly drunk as way to be still in touch and talking each other. 

They also have good-smelling desserts such as pancakes, ice-cream, peach and other extras that are up to scratch when you try to taste new things, personally, I rather eat pancakes with jelly.

The last but not least, you have to taste salads, there are many flavorful options to eat up, for example the regional salad, which includes the regional ingredient called Chonta. Moreover, I would rather have a Russian salad as I'm fond of eating potatoes, carrots and beets.

                                            

 

Me and my friends!!

 Hello everybody, welcome to my blog, hope you all can understand because it is not rocket science😀. Along this website, I will introduce myself and some of my friends

I am Mario Güimack. I am  17 years old. I live in Iquitos city and I am a student of Administration at UNAP-Iquitos. I am Peruvian as I was born in Iquitos city. I am highly interested in working with technology, even if sometimes it becomes hard to be understood. I like spending time with my friends, we are use to pranking ourselves as much as we can. However, I do not like when people with I have made an arrangement turns up late.

He is Jose Choque, he's 17 years old. He is studying engineering at University of Piura (Campus Lima), that's why, he's living in Lima. Most of the time, when he is asked about his interest he answers that it is playing video games such as Dota. He likes playing football with his friends, even if he looses. Nevertheless, he does not like when cheats becomes the main part of the sport he is playing.

                                 

This is Frida Linares, she's 17. She's from Iquitos city as well, indeed she's Peruvian. Currently, she's attending at the same university as me, I mean, the National University of the Peruvian Amazon. She's really interested in dancing. She likes to do exercise, cook and read about her favorite author. On the other hand, she cannot stand when she is bothered about embarrassing situations she went through. 

On this side, we have Crissel Vela, she's 17 and she is a law student at UPC (Lima) , but, nowadays she is living in Iquitos city until she can go to in-person lessons. She is so much interested in working with people who have the same thoughts as her. She likes spending time with her friends and talking about the films they have watched so far. But, she does not like at all to be let down with something she's been waiting for a long time.

 

My neighborhood

I live in Iquitos city. Currently, I belong to San Juan Bautista district. My neighborhood is not the quietest all around the city, but at least we can have a wonderful day without any problem of noise. Likewise, the place where I live is a little far from the main square of the city.

Near my house, there are two places where people can have fun. Those are: "La Posada del Tío Miguel" and the Olympic Villa. The first one is known because of the parties hold in the property. Basically, the second one is known for the sport events that take place there, events like "useful vacation" and matches organized by people living nearby the villa.

Across the street that are a lot of stores, selling products such as food, drinks and even hardware stores. So, I can say that my neighborhood has easiness regarding the satisfaction of our basic needs.

Before the pandemic, the nearest market used to be far, as a consequence, we had to spent a lot of time for buying what we needed. But, so far, because of corona outbreak, one market has been installed in front of the street, that is why, currently, it is more easy for us to buy.

One extra information about my neighborhood. It is located near one of the most famous villa of the city: "El Fundo". So, if you want to go there, you probably will see my neighborhood.

My weekly schedule

 On weekdays:

Basically, my weekdays are divided according the subjects I have at the university. So, as a consequence, there are days in which I get up late and others I get up very early. But let's follow the basic framework of my schedule.

Most of the days, I get up at 6.45 am and immediately get dressed , then, I brush my teeth and do some stuff in the kitchen if I am hungry, otherwise, I go to my desk. At 7.00 am, I start my lessons of the university (it happens all the weekdays, except on Mondays, where I start at 5.00 am). Then, I have to be watchful of the virtual lesson I am taking until 1.00 pm. 

Afterwards, I have lunch at 1.30 pm. with all my family.  Sometimes, after eating, I catch my cellphone and play some online games with some of my mates, it is until 3.00 pm. Then, I go to my desk again and do the homework given in the past lessons. Usually, from 4.00 pm to 5 am., I read books of my university courses or other kind related to business and financial education using one of my strategies, which is Pomodoro's technique. 

From 5.00 pm until 6.00 pm, I help my mum to get their chores done. Then, in the evening, when I am not overloaded, at 6.00 pm, I study French or Japanese by my own until 7.30 pm. After that, I have diner. At 9.00 pm, I take my phone and play my online games again. All of my routine finishes at 10 pm, the hour I go bed.

On weekends:

Saturday and Sunday are the most expected days for me, because these days I can change my daily routine, so, it gets like the following structure.

At 8 am. I get up and get dressed, after that, I have breakfast. Almost all the morning I help my mum with my family business. In the afternoon, at 1.00 pm. I arrange to go eating my lunch, when I finish it, I play video games on my cellphone with my friends till 3.00 pm. After that, I go to my desk to have my tasks done, activities like practicing my skills regarding languages, doing schoolwork or just surfing on the web. Then, at 5.00 pm. I take a bath. In the evening, at 6.00 pm, I help my mum to prepare the diner, which will be eaten right away. After that, I go to my desk to be ready for a weekly meeting with a Japanese friend, who helps me regarding my learning process in her language. Right after that, I practice a little bit what I just learnt. Later, at 10.00 pm. I go bed after checking my social networks such as Messenger, WhatsApp and so on. 

Likes and dislikes

 

According to the collected data, I can state the following sentences:

    1. 25% like dancing, in spite, 75% do not like it, which means that only one person like dancing                 and 3 people dislike.

    2. 50% like fishing, 25% do not mind about it and the other 25% do not like it, so, it is understood               that 2 people like fishing, 1 person do not mind and the other person do not like.

    3.  25% like going to the theater, 50% do not mind about it and 25% dislike, so, only one person                 like going to the theater, two people do not mind and one person dislike it.

    4. 25% like typing fast, then, 25% do not mind and 50% do not like at all, basically, one person like           typing fast, one person is not interested (do not mind) and 2 people don't like doing it.

    5 . 25% like speaking another language, 50% don't mind it and 25% dislike. Therefore, one person             likes speaking another language, one person do not mind and two people do not like expressing             themselves in another language     

     6. 100% like travelling by plane. Surprisingly, all people like a lot travelling by airplane

    7. 75% like doing shopping and 25% do not mind. Taking into account it, 3 people like doing                    shopping and only one person do not mind about that activity

My family

My father's name is the same as me, I mean, Mario and he is 65 years old. He used to be a primary education teacher, now he focuses on building his own farm. My mother is called Nair, she's 53 years old. She used to be a teacher as well, but now she runs her own business. I have one brother, his name is Jhon, he is 12 years old and he is a student of second grade at school. Finally, my aunt also lives with us, she is named Lida, she is 45 years old and she has her own business as well. 

My neighborhood

I live nearby Iquitos-Nauta road. Due to the current situation, many things have changed in benefit of us, for example, we've got a market right in front of us, there are many stores that supplies us food, materials, clothes and so on. Furthermore, it is near two known places, which are the Olympic VIlla and "La Posada del Tío Miguel" recreation center.

My routine

On weekdays, I usually get a busy schedule. So, I divide my time by using a famous technique, which is Pomodoro, it is really helpful for me. After that, I focus on having fun, it can be playing online with my friends or just I accompany my mother in her work. For my own luck, on weekends I do not have much to do as I have already done all tasks during weekdays, mainly, these days I focus on mastering in two languages apart from english.
